用法

此模板主要与{{Infobox historic site}}配合使用，根据指定类型，控制信息框中指定横幅的颜色、文本的显示。该模板也可独立使用以创建表格、列表等。以下是作为独立模板的使用说明：

模板语法

• {{Designation/text|<指定调用名称>}}：返回指向<指定调用名称>相关条目的链接
• {{Designation/colour2|<指定调用名称>}}：返回<指定调用名称>颜色的十六进制代码
• {{Designation/divbox|<指定调用名称>}}：生成带边框的div块元素版本，包含指向<指定调用名称>相关条目的链接（适用于使用{{Infobox}}的各种模板）

其中<指定调用名称>告知模板使用哪种指定类型（如“NRHP”、“World Heritage Site”、“NYCL”等）。此参数不区分大小写，例如“world heritage site”与“WoRlD HeRiTaGe SiTe”效果相同。所有支持的指定类型列于下方。

示例：

• {{Designation/colour|World Heritage Site}} 返回“ #FFE153”

维护说明

如果条目返回“无效指定”，则说明添加的参数存在下列错误情形之一：

1. 属于还未列入本模板的保护名录类型，请添加新的指定类型；或者
2. 从外语维基百科翻译条目时，“designation”、“designated_other2_name”等类似参数，不应当被翻译成中文。如果确需使用中文参数填写，请先打开Template:Designation/text页面在相应的保护区类型中增加中文调用名称，才能得到正确显示。

添加新的指定类型

如果您希望将添加新的遗产指定类型，请在Template talk:Designation提出编辑请求。新的指定类型建议满足以下条件：

• 该名录必须是包含合理数量遗址的官方指定。若某指定仅覆盖小型社区且包含极少数遗址，则没有必要添加至本模板。
• 维基百科上需存在关于该指定名录的条目，有完整的项目列表（至少提供名录的外部链接，最好存在维基百科列表）
• 明确该名录的适用范围（全球/国家/州省/地方级别）。
• 需为指定类型选择调用名称、显示文本、配色方案。

添加新的指定时，需要编辑Template:Designation/text（文本）、Template:Designation/colour2（颜色）两个模板。
