Android App Bundle是開發者將Android應用程式上載至Google Play時Android應用程式的檔案格式。App Bundle內包含應用程式的已編譯代碼和資原始檔。[1]Android App Bundle的副檔名是「.aab」。 [2] 這種格式使得 Play 商店能夠生成針對每個用戶裝置量身客製化的 APK 檔案。這樣一來，用戶只需下載所需的組件，從而減小應用體積並提升安裝速度。
自2021年8月起，只有Android App Bundle格式的Android應用程式才能上載至Google Play [3][4]。自2023年5月起，只有Android App Bundle格式的Android TV應用程式才能上載至Google Play。 [5]
Split APK
[編輯]一個APK檔案就已經可以支援多種語言、最高4種CPU架構，以及多種螢幕解像度[6]。但是對於一台特定的裝置，每個安裝檔案都包含了大量與這一裝置的CPU、語言設置和螢幕尺寸無關的無用代碼[6]。 由Play Store等應用商店生成的Split APK僅包含適用於特定裝置的應用代碼和資源[7]。如果用戶更換裝置的語言或功能組態，應用商店可以按需提供額外的Split APK來滿足新的需求[8]。 要使用Google Play的「邊遊戲邊下載」功能，AAB是必須的。這個功能允許用戶先下載並安裝遊戲的一部分內容並開始遊戲，而在用戶專注於遊戲的某個關卡的過程中，剩餘部分可以稍後繼續下載[9]。
